The Big Pickup is held annually on the third Saturday in May from 9 a.m. until noon at the corner of Industrial Way SW and 13th Avenue SE:
Items accepted at the Big Pickup event:
Load of trash: $20
- What is a "load of trash"? Think a truck bed or trailer. Be reasonable.
- ALL small items must be bagged.
- Couches, mattresses, portable basketball hoops are all OK.
- Car, motorcycle, tractor batteries are ok.
- No other items with hazardous waste, fuels, or refrigerant.
Tires, on- or off-rim:
- Standard passenger: $5 each
- Tires 22" and over or filled with foam, concrete, mud, etc: $20 each
Donations of non-perishable food:
- Donations will be delivered to Fish of Albany.

What about items not on the list?
Over-the-counter or prescription (human or pet) medication | Free, safe disposal at the box in the lobby of the Albany Police Department, 2600 Pacific Boulevard SW, during normal lobby hours. |

These items are accepted at the Republic Services Albany Recycle Roundup on the same day as the Big Pickup from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. nearby at 1214 Montgomery St SE.
