On Friday, April 2, new load restrictions will be posted on two bridges located over the Santiam-Albany Canal at 10th Avenue SW and 4th Avenue SW.
We recently received notice from ODOT that load restrictions are required at the 4th Avenue and 10th Avenue bridges located over the Santiam-Albany Canal. Both bridges were constructed in 1930 and are in satisfactory condition. However, there are no as-built records with reinforcing details for either bridge.
The Oregon Department of Transportation is required by the Federal Highway Administration to complete load rating analyses on every bridge on a public road to determine if there is a need to post load restrictions.
