About the committee

The Tourism Advisory Committee meets as needed to:

  • discuss tourism-related activities, opportunities, and challenges;
  • review and oversee tourism programs;
  • and advise City Council on the expenditure of funds on tourism-related activities and tourism matters.

The committee also awards Collaborative Tourism Promotion (CTP) grants should those funds exist in the budget.

*(Appointments within six months of position start date are considered full term.)

Membership requirements: Applicants may not be a TLT recipient or a board member of a TLT recipient or TLT collector organization.

Principal place of residence within the jurisdictional limits of the City of Albany. (Res 6797)

Each council member shall have one counterpart with nominations ratified by the Council.

The Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC) requires members of this group to complete a Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) for the State of Oregon.
