The Albany City Council will hold a public hearing Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to hear public comments on the City’s 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER), the city’s performance administering the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs and community needs that could be addressed by CDBG programs to assist Albany’s low- and moderate-income residents.

The City receives an annual formula grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the CDBG programs. In the 2024 program year (FY 24-25), the City spent $401,116 in CDBG funds to provide more than 200 low- and moderate-income residents with services for seniors and people with disabilities, youth enrichment programs, shelter and case management for youth, outreach and case management for unsheltered residents, support to childcare providers, improvements to a new shelter for victims of domestic violence, and housing rehabilitation.

You may view the 2024 CAPER at the Albany Main Library located at 2450 14th Avenue SE, the Albany Carnegie Library located at 302 Ferry Street SW, and Albany City Hall located at 333 Broadalbin Street SW.
