The Albany Police Diversity Advisory and Alliance Team was formed in July of 2020 following the death of George Floyd. The team formed with various community members and police staff to have an open and honest discussion about relationships between police and marginalized communities. The team has had many difficult conversations, but has now become a group that inspires trust and communication.
